abstract="Colchicum autumnale is a unique drug that is largely effective in treatment of several diseases. It is seldomly encountered in an intentional overdose. An 25 years' old, 50 kg male has admitted to intensive care unit 19 h after ingestion of 55 mg of colchicine. He developed severe systemic manifestations and multiorgan failure approximately 36 h after ingestion.
