abstract="A review of the scientific literature about risk factors and preventive strategies in Suicide is made. Multicausality is present as well as the need of an integral preventive strategy with emphasis on the diagnosis and adequate treatment for depression. It is advocated a higher Mental Health Education in the community as well as an adequate training of primary health care physicians on the diagnosis and treatment for depression. It is highlighted the relationship of suicide and drug dependence. The adequate treatment and tracking of the already known mental disorder is particularly a valuable strategy among patients fearing from depression, schizophrenia and alcoholism. The impact of Internet sites that promotes a suicide encourages behaviour and ethical aspects of attending suicide is reviewed.<p /><p>Language: es</p>",
