abstract="The study intended an understanding to the amplitude and dynamics of the Suicidal phenomena over 1993-2002 decade in Dimbovita County, unique as surface, but the 15 th in the country as population density, population living in 6 urban localities and 76 communes. The data existing in the archives of Dimbovita County Legal Medicine Service were used, over the period of study identifying 487 suicide cases, which represent 19,48% of the violent death cases total. The 78,43% masculine sex cases prevailed. As suicide method hanging prevailed, then, in descending order were the voluntary intoxications, precipitation, and other methods, the maximum number of cases registered in the age group of 41 - 50. The monthly distribution registered a maximum in May and a minimum in January. Although variable by the year, the monthly distribution seems to draw a symmetry tendency. A relatively high difference from one year to another one was registered in the cases representing the feminine population for which no suicide case by submersion, self-incineration, cut wounds, stabbing, electrocution, shooting were registered (counting for urban feminine population). There is to be noticed the decreasing of cases with precedent attempting as well as the cases stating their suicide intention. It was found that in the rural area only 4 out of the 76 communes did not register suicidal cases, but starting with 1995 were registered such cases in 30 communes, where at least during 1993/1994, no suicides were registered. For a unitary and comprehensive view over the suicidal phenomena, both locally and for the whole country, we suggest a standard case-registering chart.<p /><p>Language: romanian</p>",
