abstract="When young adults are confronted with anxiety or depression these troubles are embedded in their developmental phase. This article describes a specific multifamily intervention method developed at the psychothera-peutic ward of the University Hospital of Leuven. Literature describes many links between family and depression, although their seems to be a lack in the research concerning the specific place of family therapy in the treatment of young adults suffering from depression or anxiety. We describe the specific goals, group composition, organisation and methods based on five consecutive multifamily groups of inward and daycare patients. jóvenes y sus familias.
