abstract="Evidence-based medicine (EBM) tends to constitute the dominant reference as well with regard to the clinical practice as the action of prevention or health care policy. After having briefly defined the EBM, the authors list the principal studies, which return to this paradigm as regards suicidology. The epistemological limits of this step in the field of the prevention of the suicide are then formulated. Prevention of suicide cannot make the economy recognize the ipseity of a suicide attempter beyond the identity of suicide attempters.
