abstract="A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in 20 patients seen in the Stress Clinic of the Mental Health Center of Guisa municipality from September 2004 to December 2005. 20 patients of a cohort of 120 cases treated in this clinic over this period were selected at random. Individual interviews were made to determine the epidemiological variables and symptoms. There was a predominance of females in the group aged 46-60, who presented mainly somatic symptoms, followed by weakness, insomnia, sadness, anxiety, and suicide attempts. Three interventions were performed: in the first, data were collected; in the second, we provided them with a series of complementary techniques of reflection and relaxation; and in the third, the case evolution was assessed. The reflection booklets were discussed and very well accepted. Improvement was attained in18 patients. © 2007 1999, Editorial Ciencias Médicas.<p /><p>Language: es</p>",
