abstract="During 2000-2002 in a local alliance against depression of the initiator Prof. U. Hegerl, a preventive action program for a better care of depressed people and destigmatization was first evaluated in the model region of Nuremberg. Based on positive pilot results, which pointed to a reduction of suicide attempts, the &quot;German alliance against depression e.V.&quot; was founded in order to promote a nationwide broadening of the four level program. In an extension of this BMBF-sponsored project (German research network on depression) the coordinators offered support in conceptualization, local planning and realization of the project since 2003. Taking the example of the Aachen region, where there was a local alliance in acute preparation since 2004, its implementation in a city respectively region of middle size shall be outlined.<p /><p>Language: de</p>",
