abstract="The topic of this essay is the chances and risks of a possible legalization of assistance to suicide. Counterarguments against this legalization are discussed and analyzed in three thematic groups: &quot;Slippery slope&quot; arguments, arguments of &quot;moral pressure&quot;, and the fear of the &quot;loss of solidarity in society&quot; and the &quot;endangering of the physician-patient relationship&quot;.
