abstract="Psychiatric disorders affect one person out of five each year and even one out of three if one refers to the rates of the life-time prevalence. They are responsible for a high death-rate by suicide (to which must be added the comparatively high non suicidal death-rate) and for an important morbidity resulting in a decrease of productivity, a poor quality of life and handicaps. Psychiatric disorders absorb 10% of the health budget and represent a considerable amount of the care offer. The author treats of descriptive, analytical and care epidemiology concerning chronic delusional psychoses, bipolar disorders, depressions and neurotic and anxiousness disorders. © 2007.<p /><p>Language: fr</p>",
