abstract="When tracing down the presence of the issue of suicide in texts by Karol-Ludwik Koniński, one may come to the conclusion that the writing of Nox atra [a meditative intimate diary] was in his particular case a peculiar "Sheherezade's strategy" he assumed in order to fight against his own suicidal temptation. A clue to this fight is the antinomic trait of Koniński's thought: the latter can be approached as incessant irremovable hesitation, choice impossible to be made between a religious and a secular vision of the world. Although on the theoretical level did Koniński try to reconcile these two positions in the spirit of Catholic modernism, on the existential level, making a choice between these three visions of the world appears impossible to him - his condition being persistence in uncertainty.

Language: pl
",
