abstract="It is stated that the problem of morality has not so far become an object of systematic psychological research though its particular aspects are often broached in psychological studies. The results of such studies are presented as well as data of sociologic studies being evidence to critical state of morality in modern Russian society. Quantitative approach to the problem based on index of moral state of society in its correlation to different characteristics is proposed. &quot;Materiality&quot; of morality is demonstrated.
