abstract="The validity of the Ducher RSD scale evaluating the suicide risk has been studied in various publications that have reported its metrologic qualities (concurrent, empiric and predictive). They revealed that the suicide risk of depressive patients was more related to their anxiety level than to their level of depression. They also showed the differential efficacy of some antidepressants on the suicide risk. However, none has ever concerned patients who have attempted suicide. We conducted such a study among 320 patients, hospitalised in an emergency service after their attempt. Considering the necessity to handle the crisis of suicidal patients, only an external validation remains possible. Hence, the following gravity criteria have been selected: prescription of antidepressants; probable presence of an associated psychiatric disorder; eventual history of psychiatric hospitalisation; number of previous suicide attempts; type of criticism expressed after the attempt; and of course, the appropriate orientation of the patient. The RSD scale scores of the patients who have attempted suicide appear closely correlated to these gravity criteria. The results enable us to conclude that the RSD scale is valid among patients in a suicidal crisis.<p /><p>Language: fr</p>",
