abstract="Suicide attempt is not a commonly encountered phenomenon in the childhood period. The eight-year-old girl was brought to the emergency service after taking vast amount of drugs. The initial impression was &quot;drug intoxication&quot;; however, when the patient's family history was deepened, it was learnt that the girl took the drugs with the intention of committing suicide.
