abstract="This report examines the emotional undertones of language in the blogs of a suicide killer over a period of three and a half months. As the date of the shooting rampage approached, Fatality666's language in VampireFreaks posts became emotionally flatter and his postings became more frequent and appeared proportionally more often at night. They also increased in the use of first and second person pronouns. The lack of screening and of a safety net for web posts may have contributed to the tragedy. The interdisciplinary issue of screening blog-type posts, especially on some types of websites, is discussed. © Common Ground, Cynthia Whissell, All Rights Reserved.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
