abstract="Beginning with the account of a meeting with a young suicidal woman, hospitalized in a pediatric ER service, we propose to put the problematics of family secrets and adolescent suicidal crises into perspective. We analyse the habitual relationship the adolescent has in regard to secrets, and particularly, to family secrets. We reflect about the meaning of the adolescent's suicide attempt in light of the hypothesis of a family secret. Finally, in this singular context, we think about what is being played out in the encounter between the suicidal adolescent and the psychiatrist during a hospitalisation in the pediatric ward. This encounter is organised around transferential issues which are made possible in the therapeutic relationship. The medical confidentiality in which this encounter takes place between the psychiatrist and the adolescent may allow the family secret to be elaborated and brought up to the present.<p /><p>Language: fr</p>",
