abstract="Long clinical practice with adult women hospitalized in psychiatry has led us to question a type of feminine destructiveness, hatred of the feminine, characterized by impulsive self-destruction, always involving the body. Current clinical practice underlines the importance of self-aggressive behaviors (scarification, selfmutilation) in young girls and young women, as well as the frequency of suicide attempts. Many studies have shown a female prevalence of these behaviors. Therefore, we propose the hypothesis of a refusal of the feminine, characterized by a difficulty to integrate the female genital, to reach a totally complete and assumed femininity. Listening to these patients in clinical practice the mortifying scenarios are constantly repeated, in their personal and family stories filled with trauma, notably by the incorporation of traumatic transgenerational objects. These women thus continually grapple with the "passivation" particular to the trauma, compromising the construction of passivity, as the foundation of what is feminine. © 2018 John Libbey Eurotext. © 2018 John Libbey Eurotext.
