abstract="Because of high prevalence, recurrence, misdiagnosis and suicide rate, depression can cause heavy burden for the families of patients and even the whole society. The developments of neuroscience and brain imaging technology have provided new methods and ideas for the identification, diagnosis, pathogenesis and treatment for depression in recent years, and also the scientific basis for the development of physical therapy of depression. Current imaging studies of depression mainly contain brain imaging and nuclear brain imaging technology. This paper mainly reviewed the latest research progress of the two technologies mentioned above and analyzed the advantages, disadvantages and existing problems of the two technologies, in order to provide a reference for better diagnosis and treatment of depression.
