abstract="European Court of Human Rights has refused that article 2 of European Convention on Human Right (right to life) contains a right to die; whereas it has recognised that article 8 of the same one (right to respect for private life) includes the person self - autodetermination about how and when to put an end to their life. However, as we explain in this paper, the conceptuáis basis in which supports its interpretation of right to private life are disputable and it's consequently uncertain that this right is useful (as a "Trojan horse") for legitimising/legalising the euthanasia (active, particularly). © Universidad de Granada.
