abstract="Deaths due to bathtub-related electrocution are usually acts of suicide or accidental. The following is a report on a fatal electrical accident where the full AC mains voltage was transferred to the body of a young woman via a defective charger that did not comply with national standards. The victim had been holding the smartphone in her hand while taking a bath and her body thus became part of a closed electrical circuit. Electrical appliances of inferior quality pose an incalculable potential risk to users. © 2021, The Author(s).<p /><p>Language: de</p>",
