abstract="This paper displays the suicide modalities for autopsy cases examined in the Forensic Medicine Institute [F.M.I] in Hamburg, in the period between January 1, 1996 and December 31, 1999. The aim of the study was to have special view about suicide in Hamburg. These cases were divided to male: female and classified according to sex, age groups and monthly distribution. Out of 241 cases [163 males, 78 females], 18,68% were because of hanging, 15,77% jumping, 13,28% tablet intoxication, and 12,03%firearms. Most suicide cases were in the ages [31-40] for male, [41-50] for women. Out of 32 cases because of tablet suicide, 29,55% and 20,64% were because of anti-depressants, benzodiazepines respectively. So, we need other studies about women suicide and attempting suicide in all ages to have an overview about this problem<p /><p>Language: ar</p>",
