abstract="The large number of serious injuries and fatalities occurring in the United States in rollover conditions indicates that substantial changes in the rollover protection system design approaches are needed. Effects of strengthening baseline roof structures on vehicle handling and stability are examined through use of finite element modeling, data studies, handling simulations, and handling tests. The results show that strengthening the roof does not adversely affect the vehicle handling and stability. <p>Language: en</p>",
