abstract="This paper documents investigations of &quot;air bag&quot; crashes. A full range of frontal crash severities are presented with injuries of AIS 1-2 to AIS 5-6. Also detailed are the UMTRI alert systems for crash notifications. Most occupants sustained minor injuries. Those not wearing the 3-point restraint had more minor injuries than the restrained, and the occurrence of higher level injuries (AIS≥2) was found more often in the non-belted.<p />",
