abstract="Findings of Dr. William Gissane and others led to the development of the new car seat described here. The seat incorporates a strengthened frame, special anchorages, seat belts which retract within the frame, cushions shaped to the body and capable of giving firm support, a soft, adjustable headrest, and attractive appearance. Not yet fully developed, the seat is to be subjected to a testing program.<p />",
