abstract="Using data from a representative number of Society of Jesus secondary schools, the researcher reports what these schools are doing to prevent violence, and tests an explanatory model of school violence he created. The researcher proposes that this model can be used to explain and prevent school violence by identifying and addressing the school-based factors that are related to serious violence. This study found that the model of school violence created by the researcher can be used to prevent violent incidents from occurring at school.<p />",
