abstract="The usual methods of validation may not measure the validity of a predictive instrument. Hence the choice of a most valid predictive instrument by the usual validation methods is a doubtful procedure. A procedure is suggested for determining which of several predictive instruments is most valid; the procedure requires that the several predictive instruments be used for the same period of time in the decision process.<p />",
