Patterns of transmission are as follows: intrauterine, perinatal, by sexual abuse, by voluntary sexual contact, by accidental autoinoculation or heterinoculation, or indirect transmission. In children between 2 and 10 years of age, sexual abuse is first in possible ways of transmission.
