Topics reviewed are: legal perspective of adolescent sexual offenders, psychosexual disorders, common sexual offenses, violent sexual offenses, and sexual activities with adults.FINDINGS/DISCUSSION:In this overview the author suggests that adolescent sexual delinquency may result from experimentation, or involvement with adults.AUTHOR'S RECOMMENDATIONS:The author states that, "Increased understanding of patterns of adolescent sexuality, and particularly abnormal sexual activity, enables the family physician to identify youths at risk of committing violent sexual offenses and to aid in their prevention by counseling these adolescents and their families."
