%X Despite being fun places where children play, playgrounds can pose serious safety risks. Where contributing factors are known, falls from playground equipment are the leading cause of all child fall-related hospitalization in Austarlia.   Laboratory studies have identified surface type, depth, level of use (compression) and various environmental conditions as factors for surface impact attenuation performance.
