%X This report examines a psychiatric resident's consultation experience in a community psychiatry rotation serving South Asian women victims of intimate partner violence. It explores experiences related to negotiating and developing a partnership between culturally specific domestic violence services and community mental health services. It also discusses the resident's progression from consultant to administrator and ultimately to the rotation's termination.
