%X Rural inhabitants of Venezuela, Ecuador and Honduras were examined by volunteer optometry student interns. The resulting data indicate significantly lower best-corrected distance visual acuities, a greater prevalence of many ocular pathologies, less frequent occurrence of myopia, and an earlier onset of presbyopia than is found in the general United States population.<p /><p>Language: en</p>
