%X The burning behaviour of a butane cigarette lighter, plain and tipped cigarettes and matches in atmospheres containing more than the normal proportion of oxygen is examined. The results provide evidence to enable eye-witness accounts of burning behaviour to be related to ambient oxygen concentrations.   <p></p>
