%X In this commentary, I identify two sets of coercive ‘discourses and practices’ which typically oppress women with breast cancer: the imperative of concealment and the notion of personal blame and responsibility for their illness. I examine how a feminist analysis can support and encourage resistance to such coercive ‘discourses and practices’, and I argue for a thoroughgoing feminist approach to breast cancer more generally.<p />
