%X Muscular avulsion injuries although uncommon, are well described in the literature. We were however unable to find any cases reported of avulsion of the gluteus maximus muscle. We present a case of a traumatic rupture of the right gluteus maximus muscle following a road traffic collision (RTC).<p />
