%X In any risk study of light water reactors the loss of offsite power and subsequent performance of the diesel generators in support of the emergency core cooling systems is an important part of the transient analysis. In this paper we show how the event tree for loss of offsite power can be developed by partitioning the mechanical and electrical failures, in such a way as to simplify sequence quantification and allow the modelling of recovery of AC power.<p />
