%X This paper deals with some of the beneficial effects which basic iron (III) oxide has on the flammability, smoke production, thermal and light stability, and the impact strength of some selected blends of ABS and PVC. Iron compounds as well as having excellent flame retarding/smoke suppressing effects in this polymer system also confer additional stability on the blends which is often missing in other FR/SS compounds.<p />
