%X A case of fatal, suicidal poisoning attributed to the carbamate insecticide, propoxur ("Baygon"; 2-isopropoxyphenyl-N-methylcarbamate) is reported. Concentrations of propoxur were: blood 43.9 mg/L, vitreous 11.6 mg/L, liver 52.1 mg/kg, bile 46.8 mg/L, urine 7.6 mg/L, with 73 mg remaining in 93 g of gastric contents. Small amounts of ethanol, isopropanol and acetone were also detected.<p />
