%X <p>Commensurate with the rise and popularity of bicycling, there is growing interest in understanding the trends in bicycle crashes and injuries [1–4]. The evidence on the trends in bicycle crash rates is mixed. One study found a decrease in bicycle deaths over time by using a national database of all fatal crashes involving motor vehicles and adjusting for age and population size [5]. However, another study found an increasing trend in severe crashes among bicyclists using a national probability sample of injuries and adjusting for age and population size [6].</p> <p>Language: en</p>
