%X It is emphasized that in the absence of specific analytical methods for measuring the hazards of fire gases, there is a trend toward the use of smoke production as a partial measure of this hazard. It is indicated that prediction of smoke concentrations and thus photometric properties during actual fires requires many important and rather critical assumptions.<p />
