%X In a multiethnic sample of 542 young adolescents, we examined the relation between victimization and weapon carrying in a school-based prevalence survey. Physical victimization contributed to this association in boys and relational victimization contributed to this association among girls. The findings support a gender-specific approach to designing violence prevention programs in the schools.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>
