%X Much attention in the media has been given to concussion, a mild form of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Depending on the severity of the injury, the visual systems of children with TBI are at risk, and diplopia, subnormal acuity and visual processing difficulties often result. These children need careful evaluation and treatment by ophthalmologists and orthoptists. Many will benefit from a multidisciplinary team-based care. In this symposium, the assessment, diagnosis and long-term follow-up of children with TBI will be reviewed.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>
