%X This is an extract from the transcript of a meeting of the Artistic-Political Council of the Vakhtangov State Theater on 17 September 1930. The following remarks were made about Nikolai Erdman's play The Suicide, shortly after a reading of the play. The complete text of the transcript will be published in an appendix to a A Meeting about Laughter, a collection of sketches, interludes and theatrical parodies by Nikolai Erdman, not previously published in English.
