A1 - Guggenheim, Merlin SP - 291 EP - 2; author reply 292 VL - 36 IS - 2 N2 - With great interest we read the paper, M.M. Al-Qattan and K. Al-Zahrani, A review of burns related to traditions, social habits, religious activities, festivals and traditional medical practices, Burns 35 (2009), pp. 476–481, which summarizes thermal injuries related to specific social and cultural customs and practices from Jewish, Muslim, Indian and Buddhist religions, but none related to Christian customs. We would like to take the opportunity to draw attention to typical burn injury patterns due to Christian religious practice.
