N2  - Fibroproliferative disorders (FPDs) are common and serious disorders. Hypertrophic scar (HSc) and keloids represent the dermal equivalents of FPD and impose lower mortality but great morbidity. This article reviews current knowledge in the pathophysiology and molecular and cellular characteristics of postburn HSc.
