TY - JOUR PY - 1992// TI - Penetrating intracranial trauma from a fishhook JO - Annals of emergency medicine A1 - Swanson, J. L. A1 - Augustine, J. A. SP - 568 EP - 571 VL - 21 IS - 5 N2 - Fishhook injuries rarely pose a true emergency, and only a few cases of posterior ocular injury from fishhooks have been described. We present a case of penetrating ocular, orbital, and cranial trauma produced by a broken fishhook. The morbidity and mortality as well as the initial emergency evaluation of penetrating foreign objects in the orbital-cranial region are discussed.
