N2  - Falls prevention and intervention programs are important strategies to reduce the considerable morbidity and mortality from falls in older adults in Wisconsin. This article attempts to dispel the common misperception that falls are a normal part of the aging process, to provide examples of prevention programs in Wisconsin targeted specifically to community-dwelling older adults, and to provide prevention messages for older adults and the health care and social or human services professionals that serve them.
