SP - 12 EP - 16 VL - 25 IS - 1 N2 - Statistical evaluation of 737 autopsies of subjects died in road accidents. The victims were divided into basic groups according to the sex, age time of accident and alcohol level in the blood. The results show the fatal road accidents of motocyclists are on a decrease while those of pedestrians are on an increase. Fatal road accidents occur most frequently in the afternoon hours, Friday occupying the first place among the days of the week. Within the life span, the highest incidence of fatal road accidents is found between age of 15 and 25 years (motorcyclists) and then in those over 60 (padestrians). A considerable high percentage of positive alcohol levels was found in nonmotorised participants of the traffic (pedestrians, cyclists) and in motorcyclists.
