The authors observe that Murphy and his colleagues aptly illustrate the burden of motorcycles on national healthcare systems but did not present clear data relating to the effect of helmet use in reducing the severity of head injury by motorcyclists, as well as supportive data for the promotion of Ireland's SHARP guidelines.
