TY - JOUR PY - 1994// TI - Young adult suicide and exposure to television: a comment JO - Social psychiatry and psychiatric epidemiology A1 - Lester, David SP - 110 EP - 111 VL - 29 IS - 3 N2 - In an earlier study, Centerwall explored the relationship between ownership of television and rising youth suicide rates. The present study examined changes in youth suicide rates from 1960 to 1970 in the states of America as a function of television ownership in 1960. It seemed that youth suicide rates rose more in the wealthier states, and the social variable of wealth may be more important than any particular manifestation of this wealth, such as purchasing major appliances.
