TY - JOUR PY - 1977// TI - Police departments under social science scrutiny JO - Journal of criminal justice A1 - Guyot, Dorothy SP - 105 EP - 118 VL - 5 IS - 2 N2 - The common flaw in research on police work is the failure to observe principles of organizational analysis. These principles are: attention to organizational unity; analysis of subgroups; and examination of the organizational environment.
