N2  - This article describes a study which analyzed automobile rental behavior in Paris, France. Using data from annual postal surveys of 10,000 French households, researchers focused on two key questions in which persons were asked if they or other individuals in their home had rented a car for personal purposes and if the car was occasionally used by other persons. Conclusions are drawn regarding behavior within households and attitudes regarding car ownership, environmental concerns, and sustainability.<p />
